New REDMI K100 leaks emerge with 200MP camera and flagship upgrades

Fresh leaks about Xiaomi’s upcoming REDMI K100 series have now surfaced online, revealing what could become one of the most ambitious standard REDMI K smartphones ever released. According to new information shared by well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming REDMI K100 standard edition may feature flagship-level hardware including Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 chipset, a 200MP camera system, wireless charging support, and a premium flat display design.

As with previous REDMI K series devices, the phone is also expected to launch globally under the POCO brand, most likely as the POCO F9 Pro.

REDMI K100 may bring a true flagship experience

The latest leak suggests Xiaomi is heavily upgrading the standard REDMI K lineup this year. The device is rumored to feature a compact 6.59-inch ultra-high resolution flat display paired with an ultra-high refresh rate panel. Unlike curved flagship phones, Xiaomi appears to be keeping the flat-screen design preferred by many gamers and power users.

The leak also points to several premium features that were previously limited to higher-end Ultra models:

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 processor
  • 200MP main camera
  • Telephoto camera
  • 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner
  • Wireless charging support
  • 100W fast charging
  • Symmetrical stereo speakers
  • Full waterproof certification
  • Massive 8000mAh-class battery

This combination could position the REDMI K100 as one of the strongest “flagship killer” smartphones Xiaomi has ever developed.

Telephoto camera remains in the standard REDMI K lineup

One particularly interesting detail from the leak involves the camera system. A user asked the tipster whether the “mid-range telephoto” camera had been removed, but the response clarified that Xiaomi is still including a telephoto lens on the standard model.

However, the device is not expected to feature an advanced periscope “super telephoto” system like Xiaomi Ultra flagships. Even so, the inclusion of a telephoto lens alongside a rumored 200MP sensor would still represent a major upgrade for the standard REDMI K series.

Wireless charging on a REDMI device surprises users

Another surprising detail is wireless charging support. Historically, Xiaomi reserved wireless charging for premium flagship devices, but the tipster suggested Xiaomi wants the REDMI K100 to deliver a “complete flagship experience.”

This indicates Xiaomi may be reducing the gap between REDMI flagship killers and premium Xiaomi flagship phones.

POCO F9 Pro global launch expected

Xiaomi typically rebrands standard REDMI K devices for global markets under the POCO F-series branding. Based on Xiaomi’s previous strategy, the REDMI K100 is widely expected to launch internationally as the POCO F9 Pro.

Previous examples include:

  • REDMI K90 → POCO F8 Pro
  • REDMI K100 → Expected POCO F9 Pro

This would make the device one of the most important upcoming POCO smartphones for global markets.

REDMI K100 pricing expectations

The leak also referenced pricing from the current REDMI K90 lineup for comparison:

  • REDMI K90 Pro Max starts around $550
  • REDMI K90 Max starts around $410
  • REDMI K90 standard edition starts around $355

If Xiaomi maintains aggressive pricing, the REDMI K100 could become one of the most competitive flagship smartphones in its segment.

Xiaomi continues pushing flagship killer boundaries

The latest REDMI K100 leaks show Xiaomi continuing its strategy of bringing premium flagship technologies to more affordable devices. Features such as wireless charging, ultrasonic fingerprint scanning, telephoto cameras, and large batteries are rapidly becoming standard across Xiaomi’s ecosystem.

As development continues, more leaks and certification details are expected to appear soon. Xiaomi fans can also follow future HyperOS updates, internal builds, and upcoming Xiaomi device leaks through MemeOSUpdates.com and XiaomiTime.
