Xiaomi has brought its Vision Gran Turismo (GT) electric supercar into the racing game Gran Turismo 7, allowing players worldwide to drive the futuristic concept car on virtual tracks.

The Xiaomi Vision GT is a wind-sculpted electric supercar featuring a teardrop-shaped cockpit integrated into a body with cutouts and air channels. These design choices create a full-body aerodynamic passage. The car’s signature halo-shaped taillights also serve as large exhaust outlets, blending visual style with function.
Context of Vision Gran Turismo Project
Vision Gran Turismo is a global virtual concept car collaboration initiated by Gran Turismo 7 series producer Kazunori Yamauchi. The project invites top car makers to design their ultimate dream cars without real-world limits on technology or materials. Past participants include elite brands such as Bugatti, Ferrari, and Porsche.
Xiaomi is the 36th brand to join this initiative and the first Chinese brand invited. It is also the first technology company globally to participate, marking a new angle in the collaboration. The Xiaomi Vision GT is the 51st concept car created under this project.
Xiaomi Vision GT Debut and Design Philosophy
The car was unveiled during the Xiaomi 17 Series global launch event in February 2023. Xiaomi’s chief designer, Li Tianyuan, said the design aims to achieve aerodynamic performance without additional add-on parts, following a “less is more” principle. Each design element serves an aerodynamic purpose beyond aesthetics, balancing drag reduction and downforce.
This presence in Gran Turismo 7 extends Xiaomi’s influence beyond hardware and software into automotive and gaming culture, offering global gamers a chance to experience the concept car firsthand. Players can access the Xiaomi Vision GT in Gran Turismo 7 immediately, with no regional restrictions.
