Xiaomi has officially released the Mi Smart Wireless Hair Straightening Brush 2, available now at a launch price of 299.2 yuan, which is about $42. The new model improves battery life and heating technology over its predecessor.
Upgraded Battery and Heating Features
The brush features a wireless design with a 56% larger battery capacity, allowing up to 70 minutes of continuous use. It charges via a Type-C port for convenience. Heating relies on upgraded PI thermal technology using a PI heating film. Users can select from three temperature settings: 160°C, 180°C, or 200°C.
An intelligent NTC temperature control chip inside regulates the heat with real-time adjustments 500 times per second. The brush has 52 teeth, an increase from previous versions, enhancing styling control and coverage.
Ion Release and Safety Design
The Mi Smart Wireless Hair Straightening Brush 2 continuously releases 37 million high-concentration composite plasma ions during use. These include 18 million positive ions and 19 million negative ions, which aim to reduce static and improve hair smoothness.
The device weighs 330 grams and incorporates a dual-layer heat insulation design. It also supports a flight mode lock to prevent accidental activation during air travel. The brush is available in gold and purple, with a double-layer spray coating finish for durability and aesthetics.
Users interested in additional software updates or system app compatibility for smart features in the Xiaomi ecosystem can check the MemeOS Enhancer app. However, this product’s update and connectivity features have not been detailed so far.
