A new engineering device reportedly linked to Xiaomi’s REDMI K100 series has surfaced with details of a massive 10,000mAh battery, a super high refresh rate flat display, and 3D ultrasonic fingerprint technology. The leak from a trusted informant @DCS suggests this will be the first model from the brand to feature such a large battery capacity.
Specs Confirmed by Leaks
The device is said to use a Snapdragon 8 Elite (referred to as Snapdragon 8E) chipset, supporting a dual-core performance setup. The display is expected to be a flat panel with a resolution near 1.5K, supporting an ultra-high refresh rate, which points to a smooth, fluid user experience.
Additional hardware features include dual symmetrical speakers and a relatively large vibration motor, enhancing audio and tactile feedback. The phone is also reported to have IP68-rated dust and water resistance, which is a considerable addition in this segment.
Context within REDMI K100 Series
This model fits within REDMI’s K100 family, which already includes the announced REDMI K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max. Along with these, the lineup is expected to have a standard K100 model and a gaming flagship variant, as disclosed by REDMI’s China marketing manager Wei Siqi during the August 11 launch event.
The current leak likely pertains to the standard K100, which is notable for its emphasis on battery life and display performance, differentiating it from the Pro and gaming models.
