Changxin Storage Technology Co., Ltd. has opened its official Weibo account and is now following Xiaomi Mobile’s official Weibo. This marks the first account followed by Changxin Storage, highlighting a close connection with Xiaomi.
Earlier reports confirmed that Xiaomi released its first AI flagship SoC, XRING O3, on August 24. This chipset is the industry’s first to support LPDDR6 memory. According to supply chain sources, Changxin Storage, a leading Chinese memory manufacturer, is the key partner providing LPDDR6 memory for the XRING O3.
Market reports from March indicated that Changxin Storage was actively developing LPDDR6 and had begun sample deliveries to core clients. In August, multiple media outlets noted that Changxin’s LPDDR6 was approaching the final stages of validation.
The collaboration between Xiaomi and Changxin on the XRING O3 represents the first implementation of a domestic LPDDR6 memory chip in a flagship processor. This milestone signals that Chinese low-power memory technology has joined the global top tier.
